- BarterQuest is a trading site. A trade occurs when a user makes an offer, the other user Accepts the offer, and the first user Confirms the trade.
- In the case of a MultiParty trade involving you and two or more other users, your trade is Confirmed when all of the trading partners have Accepted their trade.
- You can make offers and start trading after you post at least one item that you HAVE to trade. You can Browse through the site for the HAVES and WANTS of potential trading partners and Search using keywords.
- You will be asked to post items you WANT for the items you HAVE. This not only provides guidance to other users, but when you have posted and linked WANTS to your HAVE, our Matching engine can automatically identify trades with other users who HAVE what you WANT and WANT what you HAVE.
- Whether or not you find a Match that you like, you can use the Search function to find the HAVES and WANTS of other users, make offers, and enter into trades.
- My Account provides access to your personal information and your trading activity, including details of your Active Trades and the actions to be taken in connection with your active trades.
- My Dashboard is your personalized “taskbar” that alerts you to any new trading activity and, to facilitate your trading activity, allows you to instantly determine whether there is a Matching trade for one of your HAVES. You can “drag and drop” items directly to your Watch List.
- Complete your trade by arranging for delivery of your item and providing feedback on your trading experience.
