BarterQuest was founded in 2006 by several people with widely differing backgrounds and expertise. Nevertheless, we were dedicated to a singular concept, the creation of the premier trading site for people like you. Management includes individuals with more than 65 years of combined experience in establishing and operating entrepreneurial ventures (including the founding of NYSE listed companies), in the research and development of software for Fortune 100 and startup companies, and in new product development.

Barter is as old as man. But trading alternatives were few. It was serendipitous to find a trading partner who had something you wanted and who was willing to surrender it for something you had.  Money was introduced as the means to promote exchanges in this world of limited alternatives.
