1987 honda shadow 500 with 7177 original miles,shaft driven,water cooled, was my father-in-laws baby and had bike in shed out of weather for 12yrs when i got it from him. i have it out of weather as well now. it does start and will run as long as it just idles hit throttle it dies.Honda dealer mechanic said that is because of how long it sat and that it's nothing serious or difficult to fix and that bike is otherwise in good shape. Now for "HIM" to fix it he said no more than$450 parts and labor. so someone else could do it a lot cheaper....don't really want to get rid of but really need a good reliable car
