I can translate German text into English, or edit and proofread existing translations. My background is literary--I studied both German and English literature in college and have published 20+ poems translated from German in literary magazines worldwide, am currently applying for a grant to translate a book. However, I also have experience with more practical texts: a technical manual for MTV, insurance documents, and résumés, to name a few.
