Who is the target audience for the TZ 150?
The TZ 150 is a total security platform delivering layered protection to small and home offices in an easy-to-use,
low cost platform through an integrated stateful deep packet inspection firewall. The TZ 150 supports hardwareaccelerated
IPSec 3DES and AES encryption as well as SonicWALL Global VPN Client upgrades for secure
remote access to critical network resources.
Building on SonicWALL’s deep packet inspection architecture, the TZ 150 delivers true layered security by
integrating gateway anti-virus, intrusion prevention and content filtering capabilities and can be easily managed
remotely as part of a multi-firewall and VPN environment using SonicWALL’s industry-leading Global Management
System (GMS).

Is the SonicOS 3.x management interface different from the 6.x firmware releases?
Yes, it has a new look and feel, is better organized, and is more intuitive. Users of SonicWALL’s 6.x firmware will
find it easy to understand, and will be completely comfortable with using SonicOS 3.x, whether it’s the Standard
edition, or even the Enhanced edition. The management GUI for SonicOS 3.x uses the same button-and-tab menu
system that SonicWALL has used for years, and is accessible from any modern web browser (IE 6.x, Mozilla 1.x,
Opera 7.x, Netscape 6.2).
Does SonicOS 3.x Standard include all the features in firmware 6.x?
No – SonicOS 3.x Standard does not support hardware failover.
