It's a basic, light-wt, beginner-level metal detector from Radio Shack (catalog #63-3003); it uses three 9-volt batteries, has a jack for headphones (to listen for detection tones), is in like-new condition; also have the original Owner's Manual; about 15 years old, but used only for one summer looking for coins in the state parks of WA (found 4 bottle caps, 3 nails, 1 quarter, dangit).
